Do you want to retire or drop dead in a bowl of soup at a bar event? I wanted to retire someday and even tried to do that early. I now consider myself to be a retirement failure. However, I can help you figure out how to transition out of the practice of law, while fulfilling your ethical obligations to your clients, the court, and ensuring that your loyal team is taken care of. I provide coaching services to prepare a succession plan and contingency plan for disability for you and your law firm.
This process takes 10-12 months and consists of regular and consistent monthly meetings where we will evaluate the current status of your office, identify areas that need to be improved and create an action plan for improvement. We will discuss what you plan or want to do after you retire and your timeframe. We will investigate options for the sale or transition of your firm. I can work with you and your financial planner to determine both short term and long-term goals. I will also make sure that we are in compliance with the ethics rules in your jurisdiction.
Together we will draft a plan in the event of your disability and your retirement. This is a collaborative process where I will work closely with you. This is not a coaching arrangement where I give you assignments to do on your own. This is also not a service to facilitate the sale of your firm. My goal is to learn about your goals and help you find a solution that is uniquely you.
This service is offered on a flat fee basis or hourly basis depending on your needs, timing requirements, and preference. Please schedule a consultation so we can spend 30 minutes getting to know each other.
